What Are You Actually Trying to Feel?
I think we ask "why did I do that?" way too often. Sometimes a better question is: what was I trying to feel? You check your phone because you're restless. You text someone because you're lonely. You say yes because you don't want them disappointed. You avoid something because you want relief. You keep checking because you want reassurance.
What are you trying to feel right now, and what are you doing to get there?
That's why behavior can look irrational from the outside, and make perfect sense from the inside. The behavior is doing a job — usually a short-term one.
So next time you catch yourself doing something you don't understand, ask: what am I trying to feel right now? Then: what am I doing to get there? That gives you a completely different way of looking at your behavior. You're not excusing it.
You're understanding the mechanism — and once you understand the mechanism, you have more than one way to respond.
Ori looks at your past to see your pattern — not to hold it against you, but to reveal it to you. There are two kinds of patterns: a hidden pattern is the one you haven't spotted yet, still running quietly underneath your choices. A recognition pattern is the moment it becomes visible — when you finally see it clearly enough to do something different. Ori's job is helping you move from one to the other. People repeat themselves more than they think. Almost nothing happens only once.
Ori is weyoga's AI — it helps you see the patterns behind your choices, before they repeat again. If you want to break your pattern, talk to Ori → try it free
