Why You Keep Making Decisions From Fear

Why You Keep Making Decisions From Fear

Sometimes we don't actually make decisions. We make fear go away. You're afraid they'll leave — so you stay. You're afraid they'll be upset — so you say yes. You're afraid you'll regret it — so you don't act. And afterward you call it "being careful."

What do you know, versus what are you imagining might happen?

Fear gives you a very convincing reason to do something immediately. Because if you do the thing that makes the fear quieter, you feel better. But relief isn't always evidence that you made the right choice.

So next time fear is driving the decision, separate: what do I know? from: what am I imagining might happen? You don't need to ignore fear.

Just don't automatically let an imagined future make a present decision for you.

Ori looks at your past to see your pattern — not to hold it against you, but to reveal it to you. There are two kinds of patterns: a hidden pattern is the one you haven't spotted yet, still running quietly underneath your choices. A recognition pattern is the moment it becomes visible — when you finally see it clearly enough to do something different. Ori's job is helping you move from one to the other. People repeat themselves more than they think. Almost nothing happens only once.

Ori is weyoga's AI — it helps you see the patterns behind your choices, before they repeat again. If you want to break your pattern, talk to Ori → try it free
