Your Behavior Is Doing Something for You

Your Behavior Is Doing Something for You

Here's a question I think we should ask ourselves more often: what is this behavior doing for me? Checking gives you reassurance. Avoiding gives you relief. Saying yes gives you approval. Over-explaining gives you a feeling of control. Chasing someone gives you the feeling that you're doing something instead of just sitting there.

What is it costing you later?

And that doesn't mean the behavior is good. It means it has a job. So next time you catch yourself doing something you don't particularly like, ask: what am I getting from this right now? Then ask the second question: what is it costing me later? That second part matters, because a behavior can solve tonight's discomfort and create tomorrow's problem.

Once you can see both sides of the trade-off, you have more information. And information gives you more choice.

Ori looks at your past to see your pattern — not to hold it against you, but to reveal it to you. There are two kinds of patterns: a hidden pattern is the one you haven't spotted yet, still running quietly underneath your choices. A recognition pattern is the moment it becomes visible — when you finally see it clearly enough to do something different. Ori's job is helping you move from one to the other. People repeat themselves more than they think. Almost nothing happens only once.

Ori is weyoga's AI — it helps you see the patterns behind your choices, before they repeat again. If you want to break your pattern, talk to Ori → try it free
